Control Manager
Coming
from Spain
in 1992 I began polishing my bilingual abilities with
the help of my family. As the wife of an American
soldier stationed in an Air Force Base in
Madrid, I came to the United States
through marriage. Here in the USA, I enjoyed seeing a different culture and the different
ethnic backgrounds of people I met.
In
this country, my initial background involved working
with migrant families through an agency funded by the
federal government. I
loved helping and working with families facing
challenges with the culture and the language. It
is important for me to empower Latinos who do not yet
feel at home in this country, I feel connected with
them.
In May of 2001, our company opened up an office in
Oshkosh
and I became the branch manager. Through the help of a
culturally diverse and professional staff, I sought to
change the company in positive ways while at the same
time learning to direct translating projects in many
languages and working with customers from all over the
country.
I believe in conducting business ethically and
professionally. I
am happy to say that the leadership of my company
exemplifies that. In
July of 2004, I was promoted to Vice President and I intend to improve the
quality of the language services we provide.
The careful screening of interpreters and
translators is very important to me and choosing the
best candidates ensures the success of my company.
I
am proud to say that our interpreters hold high
standards of professionalism and are very compassionate
and diligent in their work. I am looking forward to
working with your organization.
