Aguilar - President and CEO
Originally
from Peru, I
came to the United States in 1983 as a young
teenager. With the love for travel and the desire
to know other cultures, I also became aware of how easy
learning languages was for me. My travels have led
me primarily to multiple trips to Western Europe, the
Caribbean, Mexico and other countries in South America,
where I made long-lasting friendships.
I
came to the interpreting and translating business by
accident. My education was more in the Political Science
and Humanities fields. I attended high school in this
country and obtained a university degree from the
University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I graduated with
a BA in 1992. I decided to further my understanding of
the interpreting field by obtaining a judicial Spanish
interpreter certification in Wisconsin and I also hold a
license to train novice medical interpreters from the
Cross Cultural Health Care Program.
I
believe in the professional attitude of medical and
judicial interpreters who strive to bridge the language
and culture gaps that exists between individuals from
different backgrounds. I also believe in the continuous
education of interpreters to improve and update their
skills.
The field of translations is very
different from interpreting and we select only those
individuals that are proven translators with
certifications. It is imperative for our organization to
employ translators who are fluent not only in their
language pairs but also in the culture and field
specification of our customers and their clients.
I
founded this company with the desire to help non-English
speakers in a caring and compassionate way and I will
continue that mission providing opportunities for
excellent interpreters and translators to continue that
legacy.
Thank you visiting us, I am sure you will enjoy working with
us.
